One of the advantages of dating an artistic girl is that, when searching for gifts for say, Valentine's Day, you can look outside the normal range of things like chocolate, flowers, and jewelry for gifts.  No, you want let your mind run wild, and find plenty of gifts that might not even occur to the average person, but are perfect for your beloved. *Comes across his old dA account, logs in, finds his profile, notices that he hasn't posted since January...2010, blows the dust off his account, and starts to write...* So, it seems it's been nearly two years since I last wrote a journal entry here.  Quite a lot has happened in that time: I've started graduate school in Biochemistry, I've gotten engaged to a wonderful, I've done almost no drawing or other artwork (sadly, somethings get pushed to the sidelines at times, whether we want them to be or not). Well, Happy New Year, Everyone!  Hopefully, 2010 is treating you all alright so far.  I'm alright; I've managed to get my unemployment benefits started, which takes off a lot of the worry I had about my financial future.  I'm still in the process of looking for a new job, but I'm hoping that I'll find something soon.  I'll have to start drawing again; I love making artwork, and it always helped to keep me sane(r).
